The Commercial Business District, Fairhaven, Sehome, Barkley, and Meridian areas offer excellent Class A office space.  Prices vary with the amenities and views.  For instance, the Gateway Building in Sehome offers central secretarial services and access to conference rooms.  Fairhaven is located in the historic district and offers buildings which have been redeveloped and have lots of character and views of the bay.  Newer buildings which are under construction offer close proximity to the airport and freeway as well as hotels and dining. 

The Class B office space is typically located within neighborhood malls and business centers of Bellingham which offer office space suitable for insurance, postal service, chiropractor, vision centers, walk-in clinics, private practice, dentistry, or specialty centers, etc.  Among the most recent Class B additions to Bellingham are Bakersview Square and Sunnyland Plaza which features a new anchor, Trader Joe’s.

Class C office space is comprised of older buildings located throughout the city which are excellent space for call centers and other “behind-the-scenes” support personnel.  This space is suitable for the business that does not need to provide public access.  A prime example of this type space would be the Bellingham Business Park on Guide Meridian.  This is an older facility which rents in the $9.00 to $11.00 per sq ft per year range.
