The first of the year started off slow with the majority of home sales coming in recent months, this follows a typical selling pattern of homes in Whatcom County. Price reductions were the norm, buyers push hard and gained price concessions from the sellers. In the end prices were down from the highs of 2005. View property and the Edgemoor neighborhood continue to command the highest prices paid for homes in all of Whatcom County. We will update home sales data for the Edgemoor neighborhood at the end of the third quarter. If you are considering listing your home the news isn’t all bad. Yes prices are down, but demand for the Edgemoor view properties are bringing multiple offers from aggressive buyers. | Address | Sold Price | SQ Feet | Bedrooms | Bathrooms | Yr Built | Lot Size | | 116 Hawthorne | $520,000 | 3106 | 4 | 2.5 | 1958 | 0.52 | | 238 Bayside Rd | $537,000 | 2305 | 3 | 2.5 | 1976 | 0.41 | | 609 Batside Rd | $650,000 | 2370 | 4 | 1.75 | 1976 | 0.42 | | 420 Parkridge Rd | $800,000 | 4110 | 4 | 2 | 1955 | 0.76 | | 415 Briar Rd | $815,000 | 4436 | 3 | 2.5 | 1964 | 0.92 | | 410 Briar Rd | $1,085,000 | 6300 | 4 | 4 | 1976 | 0.7 | | 224 Bayside Pl | $375,000 | 1905 | 3 | 2.75 | 1977 | 0.27 | | 606 Everglade Rd | $378,000 | 1838 | 3 | 2 | 1970 | 0.321 | | 2906 16th St. | $395,000 | 2023 | 4 | 2.5 | 1993 | 0.5 | | 109 Hawthorn Rd | $465,000 | 2360 | 3 | 1.75 | 1950 | 0.37 | | 127 Viewcrest Rd | $465,000 | 2660 | 3 | 3.0 | 1998 | 0.350 | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |
